No need to queue at all, very convenient. The noodles are thick ramen, quite a generous portion; if you order the Usachi (large bowl), you definitely need someone to share... There are many clever little touches that echo from the anime, the most surprising being that the logo on the beer mug isn't a Qilin, but "that child."
The itinerary was fantastic! There was ample time to explore Uji matcha culture and admire Nara's ancient temples and friendly deer. Transportation was smooth, the tour guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and the itinerary was always on time. A relaxing day trip to multiple attractions, and definitely worth it as it avoids public transportation!
We started from Kyoto and picked the drop-off in Osaka, which was perfect for our plans since we were heading there next. Saved us on train tickets and let us bring our luggage straight on the bus. The bus itself was comfy and clean.
Ine Funaya was beautiful. It was our first time on a boat where you feed seagulls, and it was so much fun, we got some awesome photos. The kids loved it. Amanohashidate was great too, with a little theme park at the top after the monorail ride. They had tasty Japanese curry and sashimi at reasonable prices.
The highlight for me was the single chair lift. I’d recommend taking the monorail up (grab the one in the back for better views) and the chair lift down.
Our guide Laura was fantastic. She explained the spots, shared some history, and gave us heads-ups before arriving. She was quick to respond and handled everything smoothly
