  • Please note that no refund will be provided if pass is used to reserve seats less than 4 times
  • This pass is not accessible for Green Cars, Home Liner railway line or other liners, Tokaido Shinkansen, Hokuriku Shinkansen and Toyama Chiho Railway (Terada - Kurobe Unazuki Onsen section). An additional charge will be applied
  • If the ticket's validity period is exceeded while the passenger is on board the train, travel may proceed to the final station on the ticket as long as the passenger does not make any stopovers en route
  • Even if you visit Japan with an Exchange Order, to be turned in for a JR Pass, the exchange cannot be made unless you have "Temporary Visitor" status; if you enter Japan under any other official status, such as "Trainee," "Entertainer," or "Reentry Permit," you cannot change the Exchange Order for a JR Pass

  • The Alpine Route can be crowded during peak travel months from April to June, transportation may require queueing

  • The Alpine Route can be crowded during peak travel months from the start of the operating month to early May, then in mid-August and early October. Passengers might not be able to depart at the preferred time, please make sure to arrange the itinerary to allow for delays
  • When transporting between Tateyama and Ogizawa, take this ticket to the counter at Tateyama or Ogizawa Station and receive a “boarding pass” to use the transport on that route
