It snowed heavily in Tokyo these past two days, and many itineraries were either blocked or completely covered by snow. There were also traffic jams and many cars skidding on the roads. Luckily, we met Zhang Ting, whose driving skills are excellent. He persevered for a long time (what should have been a 3-hour drive turned into 8 hours), remaining completely focused and helping us arrive safely at the attractions and return safely to the hotel. We are truly grateful to him for his continuous assistance throughout the journey, ensuring a rich experience despite the bad weather. Only the second day in Izu was sunny, and then it started snowing again in the afternoon… You can imagine how much more fun we would have had if the weather had been better. Regarding food, since I'm vegetarian, he patiently helped me communicate with the restaurant staff. In short, although the weather was bad, our tour guide was fantastic! 😊
The long-awaited trip to Owakudani to see the crater was truly unique. We also got to experience the Hakone pirate ship and cable car rides, and even visited Enoshima, which is currently very popular in Korean dramas. It was a fantastic experience! Thank you to our guide, Feng Wanting, for her meticulous explanations and excellent itinerary planning; everything was perfectly arranged! 👍
① Enjoy close-up views of Mount Fuji, Japan's symbol. On a clear day, capture stunning reflections and the snow-capped peak. Ride a magnificent pirate ship on Lake Ashi in Hakone, enjoying panoramic views of the lake, Mount Fuji, and torii gates. Perfect for photos and family outings. ③ Hakone Ropeway + Owakudani. Take the ropeway to Owakudani, overlooking the volcanic landscape. Must-try local specialty: Kurotamago (black egg) – believed to extend lifespan by 7 years! The breathtaking volcanic scenery shrouded in mist is truly awe-inspiring. ④ Stroll along the Enoshima coast. Visit Enoshima, a representative attraction of Shonan. ✔ Coastal trails ✔ Lighthouse, shrine ✔ On a clear day, enjoy distant views of Mount Fuji and the Pacific Ocean. A relaxed atmosphere perfect for taking beautiful photos.
