When booking, book the pick-up area first. You can tell the driver the detailed meeting address the day before. The responsible team will actively create a group three days in advance. The only minor drawback is that when I got on the car, I found candy confetti left by the previous guest, which I felt was not cleaned up. Everything else is good.
It's a fantastic deal! Just two round-trip Shinkansen trips from Okayama to Himeji pay for themselves, and you can even travel to Takamatsu and Utazu in Shikoku. The included Okayama Enjoyment Voucher gives you free admission to Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden, plus a bonus Okayama Castle sundae, department store coupons, and more—it's a fantastic value.
It's quite convenient to use, but unfortunately, the QR code page sometimes crashes, whether due to network issues or something else. Also, there seems to be only one QR code scanning machine in each location, so you sometimes have to queue. Meitetsu actually accepts Suica cards for payment.
The coin locker at Nagoya Station is so popular that I only saw the temporary locker sign after leaving the station. It is located behind the Men's Building of Meitetsu Department Store. The staff are very friendly.
Our guide, Miyamoto, provided clear and detailed explanations, allowing us to successfully visit all the places we wanted to eat and see within the limited time. We even managed to catch the Miyagawa Morning Market (where you can eat lots of Hida beef and enjoy various agricultural products). We were also lucky enough to encounter the Takayama Festival, which offered some sights we don't usually see. The weather was sunny and the temperature was slightly lower than in Nagoya city. There were no autumn leaves or snow this time, but the scenery was still beautiful. Unfortunately, we sold out of Hida milk. The bus ride was a bit long, but it was well worth it. I'd definitely go again in a different season next time! 😌
