The show itself was large-scale, beautiful, and very impressive!
However, it's a bit far from the center of Hoi An, and it starts at 8 PM, so if you want to enjoy the lantern floating or the night market, it might feel quite rushed.
I was worried about whether I could exchange my voucher for an old town entrance ticket before the boat ride, so I inquired beforehand.
I was told that I needed to exchange it at the same place as the boat ticket.
However, the exchange office only opened at 5 PM, and I couldn't get an entrance ticket even though I went after that.
The location wasn't the one shown in the voucher image.
After 5 PM, a sign that says "klook" appears at a shop called HOA MAI ART - GALLERY. If you show your voucher there, they'll give you tea and guide you to the boarding area.
The lanterns were beautiful, we were able to ride the boat as a private party, and they even took pictures for us, so I was very satisfied.
The boat ride alone was enough, but it was different from what was described.
We were picked up at the hotel at 8:15 and took a speedboat from Cua Dai Pier to Koh Cham. At the first spot, we transferred to a boat and went snorkeling, and then when it was our turn, we did a sea walk. We fed bread underwater, so lots of fish came and it was cute. We felt safe because a diver was with us the whole time. We were asked to pose for photos and videos so many times that it was a bit of a hassle at the time, but the photos and videos we bought later turned out great. After that, we moved to another location and had time to snorkel again, which was plenty of fun. They served us a lot of food on the island, but I'm sorry I couldn't eat much (it might just be a matter of preference). There was also a shower so we could change clothes. The speedboat on the way back was really fast, and the waves were high so it was like a rollercoaster. It was fun in its own way, but I later saw news that a speedboat capsized in high waves in 2022, resulting in many deaths, which scared me. It seems that safety management has been reviewed since that accident. Overall it was a very memorable and fun tour. Thank you.
It was raining, but it was a wonderful, otherworldly experience.
Next time I go, I want to come when it's not raining. It was a bit chilly, so it might be a good idea to bring something to wear over your clothes. The fog was incredible as we went up to the monorail; it felt like we were going to heaven. Also, while cards were accepted inside, the souvenir shops outside were cash only, so when I didn't have enough money, the shop staff gave me a discount.
Thank you!
