Ease of booking (KKday's usability) Pros: The procedure was easy to complete in Japanese, and the purchasing process was smooth. I was able to get a good deal at a discounted price (stating the discount rate or specific amount would be more convincing). Were there flexible options for seat selection and time changes when booking (if you used this service)? Was it easy to enter the required information, such as your passport number? Concerns (if any): Were there any issues with using the website or app? Was it time-consuming or confusing to issue or collect your voucher? 🎫 Ticket collection and redemption Pros: It was very easy to redeem your ticket at the station (did you use the counter or the automatic ticket machine?). Was it enough to just present your electronic voucher (the booking confirmation you received by email)? Was the waiting time for redemption short? Concerns (if any): It was difficult to find the redemption location, or the counter was crowded, etc. Did you experience any language barriers when redeeming your ticket (whether Japanese was available or not)? 🚅 What was good about your experience riding the Taiwan High Speed Rail? The interior of the train was clean and comfortable. The seats were spacious, so I didn't feel tired even on long journeys. The train ran on time, allowing for a smooth journey. I enjoyed the scenery from the train window, and other specific impressions. What were your concerns (if any): Inconveniences with the onboard services (Wi-Fi, food and drink, etc.). Dissatisfaction with the environment, such as the air conditioning being too strong.
We were traveling with two families and wanted to fly lanterns in Shifen, so we chartered a taxi. They picked us up at the hotel, took us to a lantern shop in Shifen, where we bought some, took photos, and even waited for us to buy souvenirs. We had a great time. On the way back, they dropped us off at the nearest night market. They were friendly, punctual, and very reliable.
I purchased a set that included a round-trip Airport Express ticket and an EasyCard. The EasyCard is useful for both buses and subways, making it convenient and economical. The card design is also cute. The Airport Express uses a strange coin-shaped IC chip, which feels like a toy. I couldn't figure out how to get through the ticket gate, so I got stuck, but it was fun to use.
After confirming our name list with the KKDay staff upon arrival, they immediately dispatched a car. The ride from arrival to boarding was quick and comfortable. My suggestion is that they'd like a larger, more prominent KKDay sign to help us find the staff more quickly. Upon arrival, we were told to leave the airport quickly and avoid lingering, so we didn't have time to see where the KKDay staff were. A prominent light blue KKDay sign or flag would have made it much easier to find the staff. The price is reasonable, and I'll definitely use this airport shuttle again.
This was my first time in Taiwan. Traveling with five girls, I had many concerns, so I researched this highly rated tour beforehand and decided to join it. Since it was such a special occasion, I decided to take the C Tour, which offered a full day of sightseeing. On the day, the five of us shared the ride with another family (maybe locals). The car was not cramped at all and there was little swaying, so it was so comfortable that my friend, who suffers from motion sickness, said she didn't even notice. I actually sat in the middle of the back seat, but it was so spacious and comfortable that I slept soundly throughout the entire trip. Our driver and guide, Mr. Okuma, was very kind and even went out of his way to use a translation app to guide us, even though we were Japanese. He also took lots of beautiful photos with his iPhone, which was very much appreciated. We also added the Amei Teahouse experience, but there was so much tea that we couldn't finish it all while visiting the other shops. The snacks were delicious, and the staff were very kind. While the lantern-releasing event wasn't on the train tracks, I was happy to see it in a more beautiful setting than the tracks. What's more, they even took the time to take photos on both our phones and Okuma's phone...we really appreciate it. If you join the LINE group listed in the contact information beforehand, they will send you a Japanese translation of the guide and add the photos they took to your album, which is very convenient. I think it's a good idea to contact them if you have any questions on the day. It was my first time in Taiwan, so I had a lot of worries, but my friends were really happy and said it was a good idea to join this tour. I would highly recommend this to anyone new to Taiwan!
We visited Taipingshan, the Jianqing Nostalgic Trail, and Jiuzhize Temperature Range, all in one day. Buses wouldn't have been enough to cover all of these. The scenery was stunning, and the staff provided brief introductions to each spot and even offered to help with photos. It was fantastic! Meeting at Taipei Main Station was very convenient.
The driver arrived on time and provided excellent service! It's amazing to get a ride in a Mercedes-Benz E-Class for this price. It's convenient and a great value. I'll definitely use it again next time.
