Sun Moon Lake

sufficient time was allocated for each location, and the driver provided a comfortable day trip by picking us up and dropping off at the hotel in the 9 seater car. driver-tour guide 阿Ken provided food/snacks recommendations at each location. do note that the ferry ticket at Sun Moon Lake can be bought on Klook or KKday, found it to be cheaper than buying on-site. overall a smooth trip that started and ended on time.

If walking is too much for you, I recommend taking a boat ride around the lake. There's a walking trail just past Shuishe Pier. It's a long stretch, so I didn't complete it, but the path from temple to temple was lined with trees, making it pleasantly cool and comfortable.

It departed from Gancheong Station. Even the staff didn't know much, so I got lost a few times, but you can just scan the QR code on the scanner, select the language, and then issue the ticket. Since it's a round trip, you can print it out twice. At the stop you're going to, show your ticket, and you'll receive a waiting ticket. At the stop you're returning to, you can just line up, scan your ticket, and board without a waiting ticket.
