Salute to the tour guide Mr Chen who had to explain everything in 3 languages. He was very friendly and walked us to the photo points which sometimes required a 10-minute walk. He also helped us take some family photos. He was also very clear on the returning time, however some groups didn't return to the coach ontime which delayed everything else. Also we didn't receive any email or instant message the day before for the contact details and had to ask every guide with a flag at the gathering point. We returned to Sapporo at around 7pm so luckily we didn't arrange anything after the tour. Having said, that, it was a very packed day with multiple breath-taking sceneries. The snowmobile was much fun and the buffet lunch was also well-served given the price we paid. We wish there were more time at each stop. Overall an excellent and highly-recommended tour!
Kkday offers assessments to confirm availability and find car rentals reasonable, but due to the large number of people during winter break, it's best to plan ahead to avoid not finding a suitable vehicle.
We were so pleased to have the same driver. He was very helpful and gave us some info on our destinations. He also went out of his way to help us with our ski bag pick up. Even through the heavy snowy weather, he got us where we needed to go safely
First of all, the ropeway itself is quiet and stable, and the Sapporo cityscape gradually unfolds as you ascend, which is great. The way it's presented naturally raises your expectations, making you think, "Wow, what a beautiful night view." The moment you reach the top of the mountain, you honestly think, "Wow... this is impressive." Sapporo's night view doesn't have the cluttered feel of Tokyo or Osaka, and the balance of the neat city blocks, soft light, and the perfect distance between the mountain and the city is truly beautiful. That's why it's no wonder it's called one of Japan's three greatest night views. The observation deck is well-maintained and relatively easy to see even in cold weather, and its strengths make it a popular choice for couples, solo travelers, and families.
