The Taipei Fun Pass was incredibly convenient. The Miniature Museum was even more enjoyable than I expected, and I went to the Taipei 101 Observatory for the first time in a while to watch the sunset. It was a shame that Maokong was closed, but decorating a Dihua Street Tomato and Zhi bag (fisherman's net bag) was so much fun, and I was happy to have embroidery added afterward. I couldn't visit all the shops with the Dihua Street gift vouchers, but everyone was so friendly and gave me gifts, and I didn't feel any pressure to buy anything. It would have been even more convenient if the gift vouchers had a map showing the participating shops. Since it included unlimited rides on the MRT and buses, I didn't have to worry about topping up my card, and because it was so hot, I even took the bus for distances that were only about a 10-minute walk. I hope there will be a pass like this the next time I go to Taiwan.
We departed from Wushi Harbor at approximately 10:30 AM. A guide provided commentary along the way, and we witnessed the scenery and leaping flying fish. Soon we passed Turtle Island and arrived at the whale watching spot. Luckily, although we didn't see any leaping dolphins, we did see whales taking a breath, which was quite pleasant.
