When traveling with elderly relatives, our driver, Mr. Anan, was very considerate. He would take us to the entrance of attractions in case we didn't know the way. We are very grateful to Mr. Anan for his care over the past few days.
Although we missed the cable car due to rain, we ended up visiting Beppu Onsen and even got to eat onsen tamago (soft-boiled eggs) and special yuzu soy sauce. Director Lina was incredibly dedicated to providing excellent commentary throughout the trip, the timing was perfect, and she even offered to take photos for us. We had a wonderful time, enjoyed the sights, and loved the food!
Overall, the experience was very fun and relaxing. The itinerary was well-planned, without any pressure from rushing. Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) is a very special attraction, and the onsen tamago (hot spring eggs) sold on-site were delicious and definitely worth trying. While it was a bit of a shame we couldn't take the jungle bus at the zoo, the park's sightseeing bus still allowed us to see many animals up close. For travelers like us who had been walking and shopping for several days in a row, this was a much more relaxing experience. The kangaroos in the small animal area were also very cute and memorable. Mount Yufu has beautiful scenery and is a great spot for taking photos; every shot is clear and beautiful. Yufuin is a food paradise; the croquettes, karaage chicken, and dorayaki we ate were all delicious. The croquettes, in particular, are likely the famous "Kin-shin Croquettes"—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—highly recommended. A special thank you to our tour leader, Xiao Sun, for managing the time very well. Each attraction had ample time, and we returned to the city on time, allowing us plenty of time to explore the department stores and shops near the station after returning to Hakata. Overall, it was a relaxing, fulfilling, and highly recommended trip!
The Sea Hell and the Fire Hell were amazing! Even though it was raining at Kyushu Zoo, the view from the bus was incredibly clear. The driver was also very considerate, ensuring we had great angles to observe the animals. 😍 Highly recommend Yufuin Kichigo Fried Chicken, Marichi Dorayaki, Kinsho Croquettes, and Yufu Coffee's Matcha Dumplings! 😍 Our guide, Li Xiangrong, was absolutely fantastic today! 👍 She even took great care of taking photos for us 📷 and recommended tons of nearby restaurants 🫶🏻
The itinerary was well-planned, the tour guide was professional, the scenery was beautiful, there were plenty of places to shop, and there were many choices of food and souvenirs. It was a relaxing and enjoyable day trip experience 😊 They even gave you a souvenir! Thumbs up 👍🏻
