At first, we couldn't find the tour guide. We didn't know that the yellow Good Day uniform belonged to KKDay. The itinerary was two hours for photos at Lake Kinrin and eating and drinking in Yufuin. The tour guide was very helpful, taking turns taking photos for us. Later, during free time, we were a little rushed because many food stalls had long queues, and we couldn't linger too long in the souvenir shops. However, we still managed to buy some souvenirs and learn about Yufuin. Next, we went to the zoo. The tour guide mentioned on the bus that there was a ¥3600 entrance fee, so everyone should prepare small change. The ¥1400 I bought didn't include the zoo entrance fee, so please bring plenty of cash. The driver drove a minibus directly into the park, showing us the ecology of the Kyushu Zoo – it was truly eye-opening! However, the most common animals were sheep and antelopes. Along the way, we saw bears, lions, tigers, leopards, elephants, zebras, giraffes, camels... and even eagles. After leaving the park, we saw some small animals: rabbits, monkeys, kangaroos... Then we went to the Onsen Jigoku (Hell Hot Spring) for a geothermal tour. The free foot bath was super crowded, but you could buy meat buns, onsen eggs, and marble soda. Our last stop was Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell), a beautiful blue geothermal hot spring. There's also the Hakuryu Inari Shrine where you can pay your respects. There are shops inside where you can buy souvenirs from other provinces. It's a leisurely stroll without feeling rushed. The tour guide was very helpful, providing commentary in Korean and Chinese on the bus. I hope to have the opportunity to join a day trip to Fukuoka again next time, so I can sleep comfortably on the bus and avoid a lot of transportation problems. Otherwise, the two-hour bus ride from Fukuoka to Yufuin is quite time-consuming. KKDay's day trip is a very convenient and cost-effective option for independent travelers like us!
