Our northern day trip was guided by Mr. Huang. He was easy to spot from the very beginning at the meeting point and helped us confirm that other registered members could choose seats closer to each other. Although it rained on the day of the meeting, it stopped raining as we approached the attractions, which was very lucky. His introductions to the attractions were incredibly detailed, covering everything from individual sites to the overall characteristics of Okinawa. Later, he kept recommending delicious food, which made our mouths water. We couldn't help but ask him which restaurants were the best, haha. If you're not in a rush, American Village is a great place for photos; I recommend stopping there to take some pictures. You can get off at American Village and take bus number 20 back around 8:30 PM. I suggest arriving early to wait for the bus. You pick up a ticket on board and pay with coins at the correct number when you get off. In conclusion, I found the day trip itinerary to be very convenient for a first-time visitor to Okinawa.
It's very convenient and cheaper than other tour companies, making it a great option for those traveling to northern Okinawa without a car. A one-hour stop at Cape Manzamo and three hours at Churaumi Aquarium are plenty of time. Our bus returned from the aquarium at 4:20 PM that day, encountering a bit of traffic and arriving at American Village at 6:50 PM (the journey from the aquarium to American Village takes at least two hours, not the 5:30 PM arrival time stated in the itinerary). We got off at American Village, explored the area, and then took a public bus back to Naha. Note that after 8:00 PM, direct buses to Naha become very scarce, and you'll need to find the bus stop location (mainly relying on Google Maps for assistance).
It's pretty good. If you want to get to American Village quickly, you can take the LeaLea bus, which might be faster than regular Okinawa buses. You can consider it if needed. The bus is also clean.
