For an optimal experience, it's often recommended to start with Minoh Park and Minoh Falls in the morning to enjoy the natural beauty and the invigorating hike. Afterward, proceed to Katsuoji Temple, which offers a different atmosphere with its cultural significance and unique Daruma dolls. This sequence allows for a smooth transition from nature exploration to cultural immersion within the same day.
No, there are generally no admission fees to enter Minoh Park or to view Minoh Falls itself. The park and its main natural attractions, including the waterfall, are open to the public free of charge. Visitors only need to consider transportation costs to reach the park. Katsuoji Temple, however, has a separate admission fee to enter its temple grounds.
To fully experience Minoh Park and its main attractions, including the hike to Minoh Falls and exploring the scenic viewpoints, it's recommended to allocate at least 3-4 hours. This allows for a leisurely walk, enjoying the natural environment. If your visit also includes Katsuoji Temple, a full day, approximately 5-6 hours, would be ideal to explore both sites comprehensively.
