★ Take in the mountainsides tinted pink with cherry blossoms and around 2,000 sakura trees.
Best viewing period (average year): Late March to early April.

From the gondola, take in dramatic views of Byobudani Valley, lined with steep cliffs. The ropeway station, newly rebuilt for the first time in 50 years, features a modern design and a well-stocked souvenir shop.
A short walk from Kunozan Station brings you to the “First Gate,” where you can admire stunning views over Suruga Bay. Breathe in the sea breeze and the scent of the trees as you enjoy this refreshing panorama.
Kunozan Toshogu Shrine: A beautifully vibrant National Treasure, where the shrine grounds turn pink with cherry blossoms.
Kunozan Toshogu Shrine was founded 400 years ago to enshrine Tokugawa Ieyasu in accordance with his final wishes. The lavish Gongen-zukuri style buildings—comprising the main hall, connecting stone chamber, and worship hall—have recently been designated as National Treasures. With their vivid colors and intricate carvings, they are truly “works of art that never move.”
The admission fee to Kunozan Toshogu Shrine is included in the tour price; however, entry to the Toshogu Museum is not included.
Please note that there are many stairs within the shrine grounds (approx. 60 gentle steps down from the ropeway station to the shrine office, about 100 steep steps up to the main hall, and 40 more steps up to the mausoleum). The stone-paved paths can be uneven, so please wear comfortable walking shoes.
★ From late March to early April, double-flowered cherry blossoms, Shiogama-zakura, and weeping cherry trees bloom beautifully.
Tap Mikan Juice: 100% Shizuoka-grown Unshu mandarin juice, flowing straight from the tap.
Feel the excitement as you enjoy Shizuoka’s first-ever “mikan juice from a tap” (one cup included).
Made with 100% Shizuoka-grown Unshu mandarins ripened under plenty of sunshine, this fresh juice is a local specialty. Turn the faucet—and out flows mandarin juice! Experience the fun and surprise of this dream-like treat.
Hamamatsu Flower Park: A stunning garden filled with cherry blossoms and colorful tulips.
The season when cherry blossoms and tulips bloom together is the park’s most spectacular time of year. Around 1,300 cherry trees and 500,000 tulip bulbs reach full bloom simultaneously. The blend of soft pink sakura and the tulips’ vivid rainbow colors creates a truly breathtaking scene.
Best viewing period (average year): Late March to late April.
