Product Info

★ Visit the Takato Sakura Festival, known as “Japan’s Finest Cherry Blossoms” and counted among the Top Three Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan.
Around 1,500 Takato-kohigan cherry trees bloom in deep pink, with petals slightly smaller and darker than Somei Yoshino. At peak bloom, the cherry blossoms create a breathtaking harmony with the snow-capped Central Alps, captivating all who visit.
Typical best viewing period: Early to mid-April
★ Admire the weeping cherry blossoms at Kozenji Temple, a historic temple at the foot of Mt. Komagatake, famous for the Hayataro legend and its glowing moss. Around 70 cherry trees decorate the temple grounds, creating a beautiful scene against the Niomon Gate and bell tower.
Typical best viewing period: Mid to late April
★ Shopping at Shinshuen Kozenji Shop, a traditional Japanese sweets store in front of Kozenji Temple, featuring items such as goma dango and red rice manju.
★ Enjoy a scenic drive along the Alps Daffodil Road (viewed from the vehicle), where approximately 200,000 daffodils bloom with the snow-capped Alps in the background.
Typical best viewing period: Late March to late April
★ Enjoy a locally sourced two-style sukiyaki hot pot featuring Shinshu Wagyu beef and Shinshu rice-fed pork, carefully selected by a local butcher.
Menu (example): Shinshu Wagyu beef and Shinshu pork (approx. 60 g each), assorted sukiyaki vegetables, raw egg for sukiyaki, Shinshu soba noodles, assorted pickles (3 items), bamboo shoot rice, miso soup, and kanten jelly. (Served per person; this is not an all-you-can-eat meal.)
★ All-you-can-eat strawberry picking grown with snowmelt water from the Central Alps (30 minutes).
Enjoy picking strawberries at one of Nagano’s largest strawberry greenhouses, featuring elevated beds that allow easy picking while standing.
Varieties include Akihime, Benihoppe, and Nyoho.
★ Sweetened condensed milk included—its rich, creamy sweetness pairs perfectly with the strawberries’ refreshing tartness.
