Tsurugajo Castle
Tsurugajo Castle can be said to be the landmark of Aizuwakamatsu City, known as an indestructible castle. During the Boshin War (the last civil war in Japanese history starting from the Battle of Toba Fushimi in 1868), the new government army and the old shogunate army fought here for about a month, making Tsurugajo Castle famous as a "fortress that cannot be attacked". Ouchi-juku
