For a stunning 360-degree view of Sapporo, the Mt. Moiwa Ropeway is unbeatable. It’s incredibly easy to reach: just take the local tram and either walk 10 mins or hop on the free shuttle bus to the base.
Once at the top, the city view are spectacular—it's easily one of Japan's best night views.
Top tips:
Book Online: Queues at the ticket counter fill up surprisingly fast. Save yourself the wait and book your tickets online in advance.
Check the Status: We went the day after it was closed for 20 days due to maintenance, so be sure to check the official website for real-time operating hours before you head out.
Installation was easy and reception was mostly fine, except for a slightly weaker signal in remote mountainous areas, but I was very satisfied with the price.
First of all, the meeting points were very convenient, one of which was right at the Sapporo TV Tower. Staff came out early with flags for the group to recognize, and kindly and professionally reminded everyone to use the nearby clean restrooms beforehand, in case there were long queues or the restrooms at other attractions weren't as clean. Our guide this time was Vivi, who professionally explained the features and precautions of each attraction in Chinese, English, and Japanese, ensuring we had a wonderful time. I hope to have the opportunity to book another day trip to Hokkaido next time and meet Vivi again. Thank you again, Vivi!
