The long journey was inevitable, and a two-day round trip to Tokyo and Tateyama Kurobe is inherently tiring. However, the scenery in Kamikochi and Tateyama Kurobe was truly breathtaking; every photo looked like a postcard. There were a few minor hiccups along the way, but overall the trip went smoothly. Especially in Tateyama, there are many different modes of transportation, and the tour guide checked boarding times, allowing everyone to enjoy the scenery and take photos at the stops – very relaxing. Although the return trip was about 5 hours, everyone was tired after descending the mountain, so the journey didn't feel very long as we instinctively slept on the bus. I must also recommend the hotel; it was incredibly comfortable, with an onsen (hot spring) area, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Thank you to the tour guide for leading the way! I'm grateful for this wonderful trip.
Although the overall travel time was long, the actual experience wasn't painful, with rest stops on both the outward and return journeys. Upon arriving at Kamikochi, we had nearly three and a half hours. Even the kids, who are usually indifferent to scenery, couldn't help but exclaim, "It's quite beautiful!" 😆 We walked, stopped frequently to take photos, let the kids touch the water, and had short breaks to eat our packed lunches. The walk from Taisho Pond to Kappa Bridge took about two and a half hours, a relaxed and pleasant pace. The scenery is beautiful, highly recommended!
The cable car offers panoramic views from the plains to the mountains, but service is subject to weather conditions and may be suspended in strong winds. There are two cable car sections, both offering stunning scenery.
Our guide, Xiao Ma, was excellent. He managed the time very well, provided clear explanations, and showed us all the stamping locations for the six modes of transportation. Please note that the area around Murodo, where you can view the snow walls, is extremely crowded, with long queues for food and drinks. Xiao Ma is very professional and suggests buying some food the day before to eat on the way up. There's plenty of time in the Gassho-zukuri village; we took the shuttle bus directly to the observation deck (300 yen per person per trip). I recommend taking this bus as it's fast and convenient. The driver was also excellent and safely delivered everyone to their destination.
Although the earthquake caused a route change, the tour guide still managed to arrange the itinerary well. The hotel has a large public bath and private baths, and the dinner selection is plentiful.
If you were to visit the Kamikochi and Kurobe Alpine Route on your own, you would need to do a lot of research and it would be quite inconvenient. With KKDAY's tour, we saved a lot of time on planning and didn't have to worry about many things. It was a worry-free, comfortable group tour. Our guide, Zheng Qiang, was very interesting and interactive, and he even took photos for us. He seemed to have a passion for photography, so his photos turned out quite well. The attractions are definitely worth visiting. The transportation, accommodation, and restaurant meals were all excellent. Overall, aside from having to get up early, there's nothing to complain about. Thumbs up!
Although the weather wasn't great, the tour leader and driver were fantastic! Especially the driver, his driving skills were truly excellent, making the ride smooth and safe! The return trip to Nagoya was shortened by a whole hour! This gave me a chance to go shopping! It was really great!
With good weather, the scenery was beautiful. Although our group was large, our tour guide, Xiao Shu, managed the time very well, explained the itinerary clearly, and spoke fluent Chinese and English. The driver was very punctual (but please be careful with your speed!).
