Cairns: Kuranda Small-Group Army Duck Tour, Skyrail or Train｜Australia

Kuranda, Rainforestation Nature Park and your choice of Skyrail Rainforest Cableway or the Kuranda Scenic Railway, in one small-group day from Cairns with a maximum of 10 guests. Choose how you travel between Cairns and Kuranda:

Skyrail option. Glide one way on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway above the canopy of the world's oldest tropical rainforest, with views across Barron Gorge and out to the Coral Sea. Pickup is from your Cairns city accommodation or Cairns Airport at approximately 8:30 AM, and the day runs for around 7.5 hours. Skyrail can run at the start or the end of the day, depending on how busy it is, so the order of your itinerary may be reversed. Skyrail closes for maintenance from time to time. If this affects your date, we will let you know as early as possible and contact you about an alternative schedule and any adjustments to the tour.

Scenic Railway option. Ride the Kuranda Scenic Railway through World Heritage rainforest, past Barron Falls and dramatic gorges. Pickup is from your Cairns city accommodation or Cairns Airport at approximately 8:00 AM, and you are back in Cairns by 4:00 PM. If the morning train is fully booked, the day runs in reverse, with the Army Duck and wildlife park first and the train last.

Both options include the same core day. At Rainforestation Nature Park, board an authentic World War II Army Duck, an amphibious vehicle, for a guided tour that moves from land to water through the Wet Tropics rainforest. Then explore the Koala and Wildlife Park and meet koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, crocodiles and the cassowary. Optional wildlife encounters, such as a koala photo, are available on site and are not included.

In Kuranda Village, the Village in the Rainforest, you have free time for the heritage markets, local art galleries and cafes. Lunch is not included, so you can eat what you like, where you like. On the Scenic Railway option, your guide also leads a short rainforest walk in Kuranda.
