Memphis, Tennessee: African American Music History Tour｜United States

Experience Memphis history in a completely different way with A Show On Wheels!—an original step-on theatrical experience created especially for groups.

Your experience begins at the prearranged meeting location, where creator and performer Jackie Murray joins your group aboard your group's own vehicle. This is a step-on experience exclusively for pre-arranged groups traveling in their own vehicle. A Show On Wheels! does not provide, arrange, sell, or charge for transportation or driver services. No transportation fee is payable to A Show On Wheels!

Once aboard, get ready for much more than a traditional sightseeing tour. As your vehicle travels through Memphis, the city outside your window becomes the backdrop for live storytelling, music, humor, historical interpretation, audience interaction, and theatrical character portrayals.

Discover some of the people, places, stories, and moments that helped shape Memphis. Instead of simply hearing a list of names and dates, you'll experience history through the personalities connected to it. One moment you're sightseeing through the city; the next, a character from Memphis history may appear aboard your vehicle and tell you the story herself.

Throughout the experience, Jackie transforms your group's vehicle into a rolling theater, combining the best elements of live performance and guided sightseeing. Because the performance includes live audience interaction, each group's experience is slightly different.

The experience concludes at the predetermined ending location arranged for your group's itinerary.

A Show On Wheels! is available only to groups and is designed as a step-on experience that complements your group's visit to Memphis.

Important: Your group provides the vehicle and professional driver. A Show On Wheels! does not provide transportation.
