The Sunset Strip produced more rock history than any other mile in Los Angeles. This five-hour evening tour walks you through that history with a guide, then takes you into three of the bars that carry it on. Your guide meets your group of two to six at your hotel and stays with you from the first stop to the last.
The evening runs to a set sequence.
7:00 pm. Pickup from your hotel in a chauffeur-driven black SUV.
7:30 pm. Guided skyline viewpoint above the city, 30 minutes. Your guide points out the studios, the canyons and the boulevards below, and explains how the Strip became the Strip.
8:15 pm. Guided walking tour of the Sunset Strip music landmarks, 45 minutes on foot. You stop outside the Whisky a Go Go, the Roxy and the Rainbow Bar and Grill while your guide covers the Doors, Led Zeppelin, the Van Halen years and the clubs that made them.
9:15 pm to 11:45 pm. Three venues in West Hollywood with your guide, roughly 45 minutes at each: a Strip rock landmark, a rooftop bar with skyline views, and a low-lit cocktail room that locals actually drink in. Your guide walks you in and introduces the room.
12:00 am. Drop-off back at your hotel.
Your guide, the commentary, the guided walking tour, the viewpoint stop and all transport between stops are included in the price. Drinks and any venue entry fees are paid by you at each venue, so you decide what you spend on the night.
The sequence above is the suggested itinerary and it can be adapted. Tell your guide at pickup if you would prefer different venues, more walking or less, and the evening is adjusted for your group.
This tour is for guests aged 21 and over. Valid government photo identification is required at every stop.

Know Before You Go: This tour is adults only, for guests aged 21 and over. Valid government-issued photo ID is required at every venue, and guests without it will be refused entry by the venue.
Know Before You Go: Drinks and any entry or cover charges are paid directly at each venue, so you control what you spend. Venues are chosen on the night based on crowds and wait times, so the exact line-up can change.
Know Before You Go: Dress code on the Sunset Strip is smart casual. Avoid athletic wear, beachwear and flip-flops, as some doors turn these away.
Know Before You Go: Minimum 2 guests per booking.
Know Before You Go: Hotel or residence pickup is complimentary within 20 miles of Downtown Los Angeles. If you are staying outside that area, contact us after booking and we will confirm the closest pickup point.
Know Before You Go: We operate a zero-tolerance policy on illegal substances and on behaviour that puts the group or the vehicle at risk. The tour may be ended early without refund in those circumstances.
