Start your day on the water with the Marina Discovery Paddle — Morning Session, an easy way to begin stand-up paddleboarding with confidence. This experience combines a Level 1 lesson with a guided wildlife exploration through Marina del Rey’s calm, protected channels—ideal for first-timers and anyone who wants to improve their skills.
Begin with hands-on instruction from a certified paddleboarding pro. You’ll learn the essentials—how to stand, balance, paddle efficiently, and turn—using practical technique you can apply right away. All required equipment is provided so you can focus on learning and enjoying the water.
After the lesson, set off on a scenic route through hidden waterways and marina channels. Glide past local highlights and keep your eyes open for wildlife: sea lion colonies are spotted on nearly every tour, alongside pelicans, great blue herons, and other coastal birds. With coaching along the way and smooth conditions, you’ll build skills as you explore.
The session lasts 90 minutes and is designed as a relaxed, supportive introduction to paddleboarding—part lesson, part nature-focused cruise. Finish back at the launch point with new confidence and a fresh view of Marina del Rey from the water.
