Begin your tour with a quick drive through the College of Charleston, where you’ll see Randolph Hall, built in 1828 and featured in the movie “The Patriot.” Continue to Meeting Street to see St. Michael’s Church, built in 1761, where George Washington prayed in 1791.
Next, visit the South Carolina Society Hall, built by the Huguenots in 1804 and also featured in “The Patriot.” Step into the fabulous Loetrell Briggs garden at the Nathaniel Russell House.
See the Williams Mansion, the largest home in Charleston at 24,000 square feet. On South Battery, learn about the earliest settlers. At the High Battery, see Rainbow Row and learn about the Civil War and the Revolutionary War in Charleston.
Finally, head to Tradd Street, the original walled city, and see homes built in the early 1700s. Throughout the tour, hear interesting and amusing stories about what it’s like living in this wonderful neighborhood.
