Leave Marrakech early in the morning and travel through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n'Tichka Pass. Stop at panoramic viewpoints before arriving at the legendary UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco's most famous fortified village and a filming location for numerous international movies and TV series.
Continue through Ouarzazate, known as the Gateway to the Sahara, before following the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward the beautiful Dades Valley, where you'll spend your first evening surrounded by impressive rock formations and lush palm groves.
