Three ways to explore Transylvania in a single tour, so you can pick the pace and stops that suit your day.
The tour begins at a bear sanctuary, where rescued brown bears live free in a natural, forested setting after being saved from cages and chained enclosures — a rare chance to see them roam, forage and swim as they would in the wild.
If you choose the longer options, the journey continues to Bran Castle, perched above its namesake gorge and long tied to the Dracula legend. From there, the road leads to Rupea Fortress, a medieval citadel built atop a volcanic outcrop with sweeping views over the countryside below, and finally to the Racoș geological reserve — a protected site of volcanic breccia formations left behind by an extinct volcano, among the most unusual landscapes anywhere in Romania.
Pick your option at booking:
Bear Sanctuary Only — a half-day private visit with a live English-speaking guide (the only option that includes one). Bear Sanctuary + Bran Castle — the sanctuary plus the iconic castle. Full Day: Bears, Bran, Rupea & Racoș — all four stops in one day.
