After picking you up, we will head towards Bulgaria; following a journey of approximately two hours—which includes crossing the Danube via the Friendship Bridge (built between 1952 and 1954)—we will arrive at the ruins of the Cherven Fortress, a medieval stronghold dating back to the 11th century. Our journey will then continue to Veliko Tarnovo, the capital of the former Vlach-Bulgarian Empire, where we will explore the history of the Tsarevets Fortress, complemented by a tour of the city's wonderful historic center. On the return trip to Bucharest, we will pause to experience a piece of antiquity at Nicopolis ad Istrum, a city founded in the early 2nd century by Emperor Trajan.
