Maio, Cape Verde: Stand-Up Paddle Tour in Crystal-Clear Water｜Cape Verde

Your stand-up paddleboarding experience begins at our Onda Azul surf school right on Rotxa Beach in Vila do Maio. After the welcome, you will receive a brief introduction to paddling techniques as well as important safety instructions. Beginners are also welcome, as we take the time to make sure everyone feels safe on the board.

We then carry the boards together to the water and start our tour along the scenic coast of Vila do Maio. For about an hour, we paddle in a relaxed atmosphere over the calm, crystal-clear sea and enjoy the view of the long sandy beaches, the coastal landscape, and the Atlantic Ocean. Depending on the tour you choose, you will experience the special atmosphere at sunrise, during the day, or at sunset. During the tour, there will be plenty of time to enjoy nature, take photos, and soak up the tranquility of the sea.

A total of two stand-up paddle boards are available for the tour. The guide usually uses one board and the guest the other. However, since one of the boards is designed for two people, there are different options when booking for two people: One person can ride on one board together with the guide and let them paddle, while the second person uses the other board. Alternatively, both guests can paddle together on one board while the guide accompanies them on the second board.

Finally, we will return together in a relaxed manner to our surf school.
