Fly 800 feet above the Ocean City, Maryland coast with Sea Rocket Adventures for a bird's-eye view of the Atlantic Ocean, the iconic Ocean City boardwalk, and Assateague Island to the south with its famous wild ponies. This is one of the most popular Ocean City watersports activities, and one of the few that gives you a perspective on the Maryland coast you simply can't get from the ground.
After checking in at our downtown Ocean City ticket booth, you'll board a custom parasailing vessel and cruise through the Ocean City Inlet out to the parasailing grounds. Your US Coast Guard certified captain and crew walk you through a full safety briefing, fit your harness, and prepare you for takeoff during the ride out. Takeoff and landing both happen right from the back of the boat deck using our state-of-the-art hydraulic system. There are no beach starts, no jumping into the water, and no sudden movements — just a smooth, gradual lift into the sky. Most first-time flyers are surprised by how peaceful the experience is once you're in the air. Choose how you want to fly. Go solo for the full peaceful-in-the-sky experience, tandem with a partner, or triple with family and friends. All flyers fly at the same price regardless of configuration. Ask your captain for an optional toe-dip through the Atlantic waves on the way down, or stay completely dry and land right back on the boat deck.
Each group gets 8 to 10 minutes of flight time in the air on up to 800 feet of line, which puts you right around the 400-foot legal ceiling — the highest altitude allowed for parasailing. From up there, spot Atlantic bottlenose dolphins swimming in pods below, pelicans cruising alongside you, and the full sweep of the Ocean City beaches, boardwalk, and high-rises spread out beneath your feet. All bookings within 24 hours are final. Should the trip be delayed or postponed due to weather, guests will be able to rebook their trip or receive a credit for the full amount that can be used at anytime in the future.
