-What you can expect- The National Museum of Capodimonte, nestled in the park, hosts one of the largest and richest art collections of Italy. Born as Royal Palace, its rooms have always been intended to accommodate the legacies of the Kings of Naples. Dive into the wonderful Farnese collection, including works of Tiziano, Masolino and Masaccio together with drawings by Raffaello and Michelangelo.
Continue through the museum's second floors, all dedicated to Neapolitan art; from Medieval Ages to Renaissance and Mannerism, your expert guide will tell you all you need to know about the masterpieces you will see. Here, you will get the chance to admire the “Falgellation” by Caravaggio, a work of art that opened the richest period of Naples’ art. Lastly, reach the third floor, which hosts the contemporary art collection; this section includes among others “Vesvuvius” by Andy Warhol.
