Venice walking tour with Doge's Palace and Golden basilica

Meeting point description: From St. Mark’s Square, face the Basilica and turn right towards the Doge’s Palace. Continue past the Bridge of Sighs to Riva degli Schiavoni (the waterfront promenade). Walk for 2 minutes, then turn left into Calle de le Rasse. The Venice Tours Office is at number 4536; look for the sign at the entrance. Not allowed:Due to security reasons, suitcases and large bags are not allowed inside the Basilica

You must not wear shorts or tank tops in the Basilica

Know in advance:Tour does not operate in case of exceptional high tide or in case of religious functions (in these cases it can be postponed the day after otherwise it will be refunded)

The tour is not considered private but it is shared with other guests not belonging to the same party

During some days of high turnout or for reasons of force majeure (for example high tide or security problems) the waiting time to access must pay an access fee, directly to Venice Municipality St.Mark's Basilica might be longer than expected: in this case, please line up and respect the instructions provided by the guide

The guided tour of the basilica includes a visit to the Terrace (where there are also the famous Horses of Constantinople) and to the Museum of San Marco

On Sundays and holidays, due to the mass being held on the ground floor, the tour will start directly from the second floor, where there is the Terrace and the Museum of St. Mark. The famous mosaics will be visible only partially from the second floor
