Your adventure begins with a bus ride from Rome to Salerno, where you'll board a ferry offering views of cliffside villages along the coast until you reach Amalfi, the jewel of the Campanian coastline. Strolling through Amalfi is like stepping back in time, with its ancient alleyways, awe-inspiring vistas and ever-present scent of lemons. The tour includes a "Limoncello" tasting session, a regional speciality. There will be ample opportunity to explore at your leisure and capture memorable photos amidst the bougainvillea and colourful rooftops – the quintessential Italian holiday backdrop.
Next, you'll take a boat ride back to Salerno, followed by a bus trip to your final destination: Pompeii. Nestled at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, this once-thriving Roman city was preserved under volcanic ash following the eruption of 79 AD. After a short break, an expert guide will escort you through the iconic landmarks of this ancient city.
The tour concludes with a return bus journey to Rome, leaving you with a treasure trove of unforgettable memories.
