Do you want to see splendid Renaissance castles and taste delicious Loire Valley wines? On this wine and culture day tour, enjoy a more intimate and personalised experience discovering Chambord’s impressive architecture and the diversity of Loire Valley wines.
Your day begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Paris. Meet your knowledgeable private guide and settle into a comfortable minivan reserved for you and your party. On the way to the Loire Valley, enjoy flaky croissants and pastries while your guide shares stories about the history of the region and its rich winemaking heritage.
Arrive at Chambord Castle in the morning for an audio-guided visit. Discover the secrets behind this magnificent château, constructed by King Francis I of France more than 500 years ago, and admire its extraordinary Renaissance architecture.
Back in the van, enjoy a scenic drive through the lush, rolling vineyards of Touraine, Vouvray, and Montlouis-sur-Loire. Stop at a beautiful viewpoint to enjoy a glass of local wine while your private guide explains the grape varieties (Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Franc) as you take in the colorful sunlit vineyards.
For lunch, settle in at a family-run wine estate or a local restaurant. Enjoy a delicious meal of traditional cuisine paired with local wines, showcasing the character and styles of Vouvray.
In the afternoon, visit a boutique winery to discover Loire Valley winemaking. Depending on availability, taste sparkling white wines, dry and sweet white wines, as well as red and rosé wines, mostly unavailable elsewhere.
At the end of the day, your guide will drive you back to Paris and drop you off directly at your accommodation, concluding a private and memorable Loire Valley wine experience.
