Learn about William Shakespeare’s life, see the house where he was born, and visit his final resting place (exterior only on weekdays November-April due to winter church closures) - when the church is open an internal visit will be offered (please note a payment or £5 will be payable to the church for anyone who wishes to visit Shakespeare’s grave subject to availability on the day). Stroll along Henley Street and the town’s ‘historic spine,’ hearing stories and secrets from centuries gone by. During the walk we will also try to visit the Guild Hall/School Room gift shop to get an idea of the character of the building that Shakespeare attended school in and neighbouring Guild Chapel to see imagery that was once covered during the religious reformation - this all depends on staffing and availability at these locations we cannot guarantee entry but will endeavour to visit whenever possible!
