You'll meet outside Ocean Terminal, home to the Royal Yacht Britannia and adjacent to Edinburgh's newest whiskey distillery. Learn about the city's harbor district, home to Scotland's largest enclosed deep-water port. You'll pass by the Leith's old whiskey warehouses, now luxury housing and retail.
Pass through Leith's spectacular Shore, home to the district's oldest pub, the Carriers Quarters established in 1785. Bernard Street is home to the world renowned poet Rabbie Burns statue, creator of Auld Lang Syne. The statue commemorates his time in Edinburgh, leaving the Lawnmarket in 1788.
Concluding the tour in Leith Links, 'The Home of Golf' where the original 13 rules were cultivated in 1744 for the sport now played worldwide.
This incredible tour takes you off the beaten track, away from the hustle and bustle of the old town attractions and lets you immerse yourself in a wonderful working class district steeped in beauty, culture and historical relevance.
