Hitachi Seaside Park, a national park, is located in Hitachi-naka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, on the Pacific coast. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy a vibrant array of flowers, including nemophila, daffodils, and tulips in spring; poppies and roses in early summer; zinnias and sunflowers in midsummer; broom grass and cosmos in autumn; and ice tulips in winter.
Every year from late April to late May (this is a reference time; in 2024 it was April 2nd to May 10th), more than 4.5 million graceful blue and white butterfly flowers bloom here. In the distance, you can see the azure sea and sky. The sea and the flower sea make you feel as if you have fallen into the blue world of Pandora in Avatar.
The sacred rock where the deity is said to have descended is called "Kamiiso" (神磯), and thus it was designated a forbidden area. During the Edo period, Tokugawa Mitsukuni visited this shrine and composed a poem about the beautiful scenery: "The crashing waves beat against the sacred rock, the shattered moon returns as a single round." Today, a torii gate stands on the coastal reef where the deity is said to have descended, serving not only as a symbol of the shrine but also as a representative landmark of Ōarai-chō.
【Wisteria Flower Story Grand Wisteria Festival】More than 350 wisteria trees, some over 160 years old, are vying for attention. The 160-year-old wisteria is in full bloom on a flower trellis of about 1,000 square meters, and there is also a flower tunnel composed of white and yellow wisteria.
Ashikaga Flower Park - Wisteria Flower Story Grand Wisteria Festival. Ashikaga Flower Park was selected by CNN as one of the world's top 10 dream tourist attractions.
The wisteria flowers bloom in the order of pale red, purple, white, and yellow, with a flowering period lasting about a month. CNN praised this dreamlike scenery, comparing it to the Tree of Souls in the movie Avatar, and named it the only Japanese site to be included in the "2014 World's Top 10 Dream Tourist Attractions".

This is a shared ride with fixed itinerary. Customers participating in this tour are requested to adhere to the time allotted at each attraction and follow the instructions of the driver/guide.
If you leave the group midway through the trip, the transaction will be considered invalid, and no refund will be given. Furthermore, you will be solely responsible for any personal injury or property damage resulting from this.

Please arrive at the designated pick-up point at the specified time. Do not be late. As this tour does not allow for transfers to other departures or joining midway, if you are unable to participate in the day tour due to your own reasons, you will be responsible for any resulting losses. Flowering dates are only predictions. To ensure the best customer experience, the itinerary may be adjusted according to the flowering situation. In the event of force majeure that results in the flower fields not appearing as pictured, no refund will be given. Please be aware that the quality of the flowering period is mainly affected by weather conditions. If the flowers are not at their peak viewing time, the tour will still depart as scheduled.
