商品说明

Toronto is the subject of this tour, and downtown is the setting. Heart of Downtown is our orientation tour: we move through the neighbourhoods and the streets, laneways, and corners that connect them. By the end, you've stopped seeing them as items on a map and started seeing how they fit together. You'll leave with a shortlist of places you want to come back to, and a feel for the city you can use whether you have six more days here or six more hours.

The tour is built around conversation. Your guide knows the city in depth and will tell you about it, but they'll also ask what you're noticing, what you're curious about, where you're from, and what's catching your eye. The best moments on the tour usually come out of those exchanges rather than anything we plan. It's a conversation, not a presentation. You're in it.

We stop at the iconic spots and at the ordinary ones, because together they tell the story. A fire hall, a side street, a piece of public art, a building most people walk past, and the people behind them. Some of it is history. Some of it is what's there now. Some of it is what's comes next. Some of it is what someone in the group just asked about.

Your guides are hired for the right skills and instincts, and trained intensely to deliver the kind of tour we promise. Some have lived in Toronto for decades, some for a few years, but all of them know the city deeply and are glad you came.

You don't need to be an expert cyclist. The group is small enough that your guide can actually keep an eye on everyone, the pace is easy, and the route is chosen with that in mind. On larger groups, a second guide rides with us.

Bikes are pedal bikes by default. E-bikes are available as an accommodation, and tandems are available for guests who'd rather not ride on their own. Get in touch before booking and we'll arrange it. We've welcomed guests of all ages and abilities (including people who've never ridden a bike), and all guides are certified in First Aid & CPR.

What you'll see along the way:
Kensington Market, the Flatiron, Chinatown, the CN Tower and Rogers Centre, OCAD and the Art Gallery of Ontario, Old Town and St. Lawrence Market, Queen Street West, City Hall, the financial district and Union Station, Sankofa Square, the Distillery District, the Entertainment District, and the central waterfront.
