Discover the oldest part of Berlin around the Nikolaiviertel – and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of old Berlin legends from the Middle Ages and early modern times.

On this tour, I will tell you, among other things:

the legend of Albrecht the Bear and the founding of Berlin,
the legends of the giants from the Müggelberge,
the history of the hospital at the Gertraudentor,
and the old Berlin legend of the Galgenhaus.

Along the way, we visit well-known places such as the Red Town Hall, the Berlin City Palace, and the Nikolai Quarter, but also lesser-known places – such as the oldest bridge in Berlin or the location of the former city border at the Gertraudentor.

In addition to the vividly told legends, you can also get exciting insights into the historical background of the buildings and their time, if you wish.

The tour starts and ends directly at the Rotes Rathaus U5 subway station, in front of the Rotes Rathaus, and lasts 2-2.5 hours.
