The morning itinerary takes you through the landmarks that define Ho Chi Minh City's wartime and colonial history — a compact,
powerful, and deeply informative half-day for first-time visitors and history enthusiasts alike.
The building where modern Vietnamese history pivoted. On April 30, 1975, a North Vietnamese tank crashed through the gates of the Independence Palace, bringing the Vietnam War to its end. Today, the palace is preserved precisely as it was — offices, conference rooms, wartime bunkers, and all — a vivid, walk-in time capsule of one of the 20th century's defining moments.
Two of Southeast Asia's finest French colonial landmarks stand side by side in the heart of the city. The cathedral — constructed
entirely from materials shipped from France in the 1880s — remains a masterpiece of neo-Romanesque architecture.
(Exterior visit only due to ongoing restoration works.)
One of the most-visited and most affecting museums in Vietnam. The War Remnants Museum documents the history of the Vietnam War
through photographs, artifacts, military hardware, and firsthand accounts — an essential experience for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Vietnam's history and resilience.

The afternoon itinerary shifts the focus to Ho Chi Minh City's living, breathing cultural present — its Chinese heritage, its
market life, and its rapidly evolving river skyline.
Deep in Cho Lon, one of the most atmospheric temples in Southern Vietnam awaits. Thien Hau Pagoda, built by the Teochew community
in the early 19th century, is dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea and remains an active place of worship. Spiral incense coils hang from the ceiling. The air is thick with devotion.
Adjacent to the temple, Cho Lon ("Big Market") is a sensory experience unlike anything else in the city — a vast, labyrinthine
wholesale market where Chinese-Vietnamese commerce has thrived for generations. Every corridor offers something new: fabrics, herbs, dried goods, street food, and the hum of a marketplace that never quite sleeps.
End the afternoon on the water. Board a modern water bus and cruise the Saigon River as the sun begins its descent — Landmark 81
(Vietnam's tallest skyscraper at 461 meters) towers above the north bank, Bitexco Financial Tower catches the late light, and the green
waterfront of Vinhomes Central Park stretches along the shore. A beautiful, relaxed close to the day.
