See, learn, and experience tea through various programs at the lush park and the museum of Chazuna in the town of tea, Uji. Get an introduction to the rich history and culture of Uji tea in an easy-to-understand manner through touchable exhibits.

◎Uji Tea Room (Uji-cha no Ma)/Museum
How is tea made?
What's the birth story behind Uji tea?
How is Uji tea made?
What is the difference between Gyokuro and Sencha tea? Is there a special way to make delicious tea? And so on...
Answers to these common questions about tea are introduced in digital exhibitions where you can actually touch and experience the tea.
Full of information that makes you want to drink tea even more!

◎History Room/Museum
Head to the History Room where a huge 10-yen coin with the Byodoin Phoenix Hall will welcome you. Learn about the town and its history with digital exhibitions, including a large 4K HDTV digital screen with modernized townscape drawings or "Meisho-zue".

Then, make matcha by grinding tea leaves with a tea mill into a powder. Then, under the guidance of a Japanese tea instructor, or a teacher who has been trained by a Japanese tea instructor, learn how to brew matcha, and enjoy your creation.
(Matcha is not available for takeout.)

As a summer-only experience, at 2:45 p.m. only, the restaurant will offer a cool summer experience where visitors can not only pour their own ground matcha over ice cream and drink it, but also pour the ground matcha over ice cream and eat it.
