An unusual stroll through the Rome of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when the myth of the Wild West reached the capital with shows, riders, challenges, and characters that entered the popular imagination.
The star of the story will be Buffalo Bill, who with his famous Wild West Show brought the epic of the American frontier to Rome, transforming the city into a grand Western setting for a few days. But also awaiting him were the Italian butteri, highly skilled horsemen who fueled one of the most famous and talked-about challenges of those years.
The itinerary will start from Prati, in the area linked to the shows of the time, and continue to the Colosseum, passing through places and stories that will allow you to rediscover the surprising relationship between Rome and the Western universe.
Along the route, we will talk about cowboys, horses, traveling shows, duels, frontier myths, and little-known curiosities, discovering how much the Wild West has also influenced cinema, popular culture, and the Italian imagination.
