Begin your adventure by getting picked up from your accommodation in Ylläs. Head to the safari house, where you'll gear up with a winter overall, winter shoes, wool socks, mittens, a balaclava, and a helmet.

Hop on your snowmobile and set off into the wilderness. As the darkness of evening sets in, ride through the snowy forests, keeping an eye on the sky for the Northern Lights.

If you're lucky, the Aurora Borealis will glow right above your head. Even if the lights don’t appear, the experience of snowmobiling through the dark forests is unforgettable.

Enjoy a warm local berry juice and "Gold Bar" chocolate, made in Lapland, during your adventure. After the safari, return to your accommodation in Ylläs.

  • Know Before You Go: The rider must possess a driving licence and this licence must be carried at all times when riding the snowmobile

  • Know Before You Go: Driving a snowmobile has the same risks as driving any other motor vehicle

  • Know Before You Go: Child discount is -50% (4 - 12 years). Children are sitting on a sledge during the safari. Children over 140 cm tall can sit on the back of the snowmobile as passengers, if there are places available. The guide makes the final decision of child´s seating regarding safety reasons

  • Know Before You Go: The drink driving rules are the same as for cars: Don’t drink and drive!

  • Know Before You Go: For your own safety, please take any possible necessary medications with you on the safari

  • Know Before You Go: We do not recommend participating on a snowmobile safari if you are pregnant
