Our guide will give you all the necessary clothing, equipment and tuition for riding the snowmobile, after which we ride to our private Lappish kota shelter.
This snowmobile safari brings you in direct contact with Lapland’s handsome nature in the nearby Ylläs snow capes. At the Lappish kota, our guide makes feather sticks to light the fire for preparing a sooty pot coffee. In a Lappish kota shelter we will also enjoy delicious cold-smoked reindeer meat flatbread wraps and a bun. Our return to civilization is welcomed by the grand Yllästunturi fell highlands.
Duration of this safari is app. 4-4,5 hours including transfers and driving kilometres is app. 30km.

  • Know Before You Go: The rider must possess a driving licence and this licence must be carried at all times when riding the snowmobile

  • Know Before You Go: Driving a snowmobile has the same risks as driving any other motor vehicle

  • Know Before You Go: Child discount is -50% (4 - 12 years). Children are sitting on a sledge during the safari. Children over 140 cm tall can sit on the back of the snowmobile as passengers, if there are places available. The guide makes the final decision of child´s seating regarding safety reasons

  • Know Before You Go: The drink driving rules are the same as for cars: Don’t drink and drive!

  • Know Before You Go: For your own safety, please take any possible necessary medications with you on the safari

  • Know Before You Go: We do not recommend participating on a snowmobile safari if you are pregnant
