Discover the magic of Finnish Lapland on a full-day adventure from Rovaniemi to Ruka, one of Finland's most popular winter resorts and home to the exciting Ruka Coaster.

This 10-hour day trip gives you the freedom to choose how you want to experience Ruka. Select from three different options, from a flexible day exploring independently to a complete winter adventure with activities included.

Your journey begins with pickup from Rovaniemi City Center or Santa Claus Village. Travel through snow-covered forests, frozen landscapes, and peaceful Lapland scenery on the way to Ruka. During the journey and upon arrival, your guide will introduce you to the area and share useful local tips about what to see, where to go, and how to make the most of your day.

Once in Ruka, enjoy the atmosphere of one of Finland's best-known winter resorts, surrounded by beautiful fells and snowy scenery.

⭐ Ruka Free Day | 10h | Explore at Your Own Pace

The most flexible way to experience Ruka. Transportation from Rovaniemi, a short orientation, and local tips are included. After arriving, the day is yours. Explore the resort village, visit cafés and shops, enjoy the scenery, or purchase the winter activities that interest you most.

⭐ Ruka Highlights | 10h | 2 Coaster Rides & Free Time

Enjoy everything included in the Free Day option plus two rides on the Ruka Coaster with pre-arranged tickets. Control your own speed as you descend the fell and enjoy the surrounding winter scenery. After your rides, you'll have plenty of free time to explore Ruka at your own pace.

⭐ Ruka Premium | 10h | Full Winter Adventure

Choose the complete Ruka experience with two Ruka Coaster rides, a gondola ride, access to Rosa & Rudolf Family Park, and free time to explore the resort. Enjoy a traditional Finnish BBQ lunch during your winter adventure before continuing your day in Ruka.

Rosa & Rudolf Family Park offers winter fun such as snow tubing, sledding, and other activities suitable for families. Additional activities, including skiing and snowboarding, can also be purchased directly at Ruka Resort.

Ruka Coaster Weather & Safety Guarantee

The Ruka Coaster may occasionally close because of weather or safety conditions. This does not mean your Ruka day has to be canceled. If the Coaster is closed, the day trip will operate as planned and guests who booked the Highlights or Premium option will receive an €80 refund per person for the unavailable Coaster experience. Other activities included in the Premium option will continue as planned when available.

With all three options traveling together, everyone can enjoy Ruka in the way that suits them best while sharing the same comfortable round-trip transportation from Rovaniemi.
