Let's begin your tour at the market square, the heart of the city (the meeting point is in front of Hevd Bakeri & Pizzeria Torget). There, you will see the statue of Olav Tryggvason who founded the city during the Viking era.
A little stroll through the main avenue of Trondheim will get you to the northernmost gothic cathedral in the world: Nidarosdomen. Exterior visit only. The entrance fee to the cathedral interior is not included with this tour.

Then follow your guide back in time and go back to the 17th century! Cross the famous Old Town Bridge, also known as the “portal of happiness” and explore Bakklandet, the old town of Trondheim. In this colorful neighborhood let your guide show you an inventive Norwegian curiosity: the world’s only bicycle lift.
On your way back to the city center, learn more about the royal family and its summer residence in front of Stiftsgården.

Please note that it is not a private tour, which means that other bookings can be added to yours. However, we have a maximum of 15 participants on each group to provide a qualitative experience.

This visit is an outside walking tour only and does not include any entrances. Trondheim’s city center is mostly flat. However, the old neighborhood is made of cobblestones. Hardly accessible to wheelchair/stroller.
