Day 8: Samagaun to Samdo (3,860 m / 12,660 ft) Duration: 3-4 hours.

Trek across the pastures and then descend to the valley below with some great views of the surrounding peaks on the trail - especially Mt. Manaslu. Next, come to the remote and out-of-the-way Tibetan refugee village of Samdo, only close to the Tibetan border.

Day 9: Acclimatization day at Samdo.

Today is another acclimatization day, and spending it in a village as quaint as Samdo makes it an enjoyable experience.

Day 10: Samdo to Larke Phedi (Dharmasala) (4,460 m/ 14,629 ft) Duration: 4-5 hours.

Cross several rivers before arriving at Larkya Bazaar, a village that exists as a trading post for traders coming down from Tibet.
