A guided tour into Marino Ballena National Park, the first national park created in Costa Rica to protect the marine resources, is one of the best places in the world for whale watching according to National Geographic. Marino Ballena National Park protects more than 13,000 acres of ocean and 9 miles of coastline. Comprised of mangrove forests, coral reefs, and untouched beaches, the national park is one for travelers who want to view fragile wildlife while escaping the hustle and bustle of every day.

Live the experience of sighting species such as Humpback Whales. These cetaceans come to carry out their reproductive cycle in two different seasons ( from January to April and from July to November). Also, there is a high probability of sighting False-killer Whales, Pacific Spotted and Bottle Nose Dolphins, and two species of Sea Turtles (Olive Ridley and Black Turtle).

Within Marino Ballena National Park is located Ballena Island a sanctuary for birds like white ibis and pelicans This tour is offered not only to appreciate and learn about marine species and birds, but also you will learn a lot about the history and culture of the area which is charming.

Please, take into consideration that our company can not guarantee the sighting of all the mentioned species since it is natural, but we pledge to do our best.
