El Calafate: Glaciar Sur Pioneros Estancia Day Trip｜Argentina

Begin your day with a morning pickup from your hotel in El Calafate. Head to Estancia Nibepo Aike, where you’ll enjoy rural activities and a traditional Patagonian lunch featuring roast lamb, a buffet of salads, dessert, and drinks, including wine. A vegetarian option is available upon prior request.

In the early afternoon, continue with a boat ride from the Glaciar Sur pier at Puerto Los Pioneros. Sail through the southern arms of Lake Argentino, specifically Brazo Sur and Brazo Rico, offering views of the surrounding landscapes.

Disembark at Playa de las Monedas for a short and easy walk of approximately 30 to 45 minutes to the Mirador de las Rocas. Travelers who prefer not to walk may remain on board and reach the viewpoint by boat.

Continue along the southern face of the Perito Moreno Glacier, allowing close views of the glacier’s ice walls from the water. Afterwards, disembark at Bajo las Sombras and visit the glacier walkways, where there is free time to explore the viewing platforms in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier.
