Midday: Oberammergau, A Village Frozen in TimeLeaving the majestic Neuschwanstein Castle behind, our next stop is Oberammergau, a picturesque village renowned for its woodcarvings and the Passion Play. This decennial event, performed since 1634 as a vow to God for sparing the village from the plague, attracts visitors worldwide. Oberammergau is a testament to Bavarian tradition and craftsmanship, with beautifully painted houses (Lüftlmalerei) depicting biblical scenes and alpine landscapes.
