Stop at the Marktplatz, the Market square, and admire the 16th-century Town Hall. Marvel at its Renaissance tower with a 400 years old clock. Stroll through the narrow lanes and see the half-timbered houses of the Old Town. Pass by the Philipps- University and stop at the St. Elizabeth’s Church and the St- Michaelskapelle, also called “Michelchen” and find out more about the two churches.

You’ll see from everywhere the castle that faces the town from a hilltop, the Marburg Castle, also known as Landgrafen Palace from the 11th-century.
