There is a place on Mount Etna where time can be read in the rock: Contrada Cavaliere. Here, our family takes you on a route that intertwines nature, history and wine. It starts from our panoramic terrace, with a view that embraces Mount Etna and the Simeto Valley. In front of you, the valley tells the story in layers of lava: an open-air book that explains how the depth of these soils came to be. We then walk among the rows, passing from the younger vineyards to the pre-phylloxera vines that preserve the memory of the place. Viticulture here is heroic by definition: everything is done by hand, in balance with the volcano. The stars are the native varieties of Mount Etna: Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante, and Catarratto. Each variety is a character of the territory. The route continues inside the historic Palmento (wine press) from 1784. Among ancient vats, presses and tools, you can see how farming knowledge has evolved without losing its origins. The visit ends in the wine tasting room, a space where wine meets art: the works on display are those that inspired the labels, because for us, wine is art and poetry. Here, the guided tasting helps you recognize the aromas, structure, and character of our wines, and to find in the glass everything you have just seen and walked through. Each bottle is the story of a territory experienced firsthand and of a family that proudly preserves it.
